Cheshire School of Glass Featured on Channel 5

Exciting news – Jen and the Cheshire School of Glass are going to be on telly! We’ve been filmed for Channel 5’s programme about Britain’s Most Scenic Counties, and yes, you guessed it – they’re featuring Cheshire.
How It Happened
To be honest, Jen was a bit reluctant at first. She got a scary email asking if we’d like to be featured on TV, and her initial reaction was to ignore it (classic Jen!). But quite a few people convinced her it would be brilliant coverage for the studio and what we do here, so she said yes.
The film crew came to Bradley Farm and captured what goes on in our glass studio – the making, the teaching, the countryside setting, the whole lot. It was quite surreal having cameras around, but also rather exciting!
When to Watch
The programme airs on Friday 24th October at 9pm on Channel 5.
It’s part of their series on Britain’s Most Scenic Counties, and Cheshire is taking the spotlight. We’re chuffed to bits that they wanted to include us as part of what makes this county special.
What to Expect
We can’t tell you too much because we haven’t seen the final edit ourselves yet! But expect to see:
- Jen doing what she does best – working with glass
- A glimpse inside our converted barn studio
- The scenic Cheshire countryside setting
- Hopefully some insight into the glass art techniques we teach
We’re just as curious as you are to see how it turned out!
A Bit Nervous, A Lot Excited
Jen’s slightly terrified about seeing herself on TV (aren’t we all?), but it’s lovely that Channel 5 wanted to showcase glass art and our little corner of Cheshire. We hope it inspires more people to give glass art a try – or at least come and visit us on our Christmas Open Day!
